With the Pacific Garbage Dump increasing by a ton each day, more people are heeding to the call like Richart Sowa. Plastic is a material that is molded and can only be torched down one more time when recycled. This makes the chemicals tough to digest for mother nature so many are finding, like Richart, to re-use the plastic.
David de Rothschild, founder of Adventure Ecology, has made a catamaran that is supported by plastic bottles.

The plastiki sailed from San Fransisco, took water samples from the Pacific Garbage Patch, and landed in Sydney, AU.
